Vaporesso Xros – Review

Our review today will be based on the pod-system from Vaporesso, the Xrox. Just as the Vaporesso Degree, Vaporesso Xtra, and Osmall, it is an MTL device optimized for use with nicotine salts. But while these other devices looked like carving out their piece of the pod system market, the Xros looks and feels like it was designed with a single mission in mind — to be a better pod system. In my opinion, it is also the best mouth to lung vape.

The pod system from Vaporesso comes in a small box of cardboard colored the same as the unit inside and features a picture of it on the front, along with some pictograms showing off its key features. As expected, we have some technical details on the back of the package and a list of contents in the kit. This includes limitations and nicotine warnings, and a scratch-and-check authenticity sticker.

The standard content included in the box is the Xros battery unit, two refillable pods, a Type-C USB charging cable, and a user manual. There is also an extra pod which is nice to see especially in a kit that aims at beginners and causal vapors, and I am also happy that Vaporesso has decided to switch to USB C. We have seen the same standard on the PM30 pod device but this shows pretty much that they have moved on from the micro-USB.

Battery and charging life

Vaporesso Xros has a battery life of 800 mAh which is a lot more comparing it to the 520 mAh of the Caliburn. Considering that it’s not that much heavier it’s very impressive. The power is enough to get you through the day with a 30 – 50 mg nicotine salt and the 1.2-ohm coils. You can choose to use a 3 mg nicotine salt with a 0.8-ohm coil. I must say that this will not last you the whole day if you intend to take frequent puffs. The reason is the 0.8-ohm coils get depleted faster than the 1.2 ohms.

The battery charges in under 45 minutes. From my experience, it charged a little faster but there was still some power left in the tank. The LED flashes red while the unit is charging. And it lights up green when fully charged.

The mouthpiece is rounded slightly and is easy to use. This mouthpiece is a cap that pulls off to reach the fill port. The cap is nowhere to grip so it can be hard to remove, particularly if you have e-juice on your hands. I noticed that pressing side by side made removal faster, rather than attempting to pull it out.

There is a small hole with a rubber seal with the cap off which you push your e-juice nozzle in to fill the tube. When you insert your e-juice bottle nozzle this rubber seal opens up like an X and then closes when you remove it. By turning the pod upside down the seal should not leak.

The Vaporesso Xros is available online at the Vaporesso online store at an affordable $29.9. The Xros is a wonderful vape that brings you a customizable experience.
